To be able to keep track of any visitors (or just to see if there are any visitors at all…) I have added StatCounter to each of my webbpages, including the abstracts for the publications and my essays. It will be interesting to see if the Burfjellet text will be more visited than the other this year!

I have also added another nice feature to my homepage: the reCHAPTA Mailhide! This will prevent spam robots picking up my e-mail address, while at the same time provide support to large book scan projets like the Internet Archive. Curious? Read more on the reCHAPTA webb page!

Snap Shots

I have now added the Snap Shots plug-in, hoping to add some functionality to my blog. The Snap Shots developer suggest that I write a blog post with more or less the following content: Snap Shots “enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles,IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock chartsand more.

Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you “look ahead,” before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.

Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.”

Nu har jag fixat till xhtml-koden och css-mallarna så nu ska väl min hemsida se någorlunda likadan ut i “alla” webbläsare. Och jag ska försöka koncentrera mig på innehållet ett tag, innan nästa ombyggnadsfas (jag har en hel del jag inte är nöjd med, och en hel del idéer jag vill pröva…).

Så, då har jag påbörjat uppdateringen och uppsnyggningen av min hemsida! Än så länge ser den nog bara hyfsat bra ut i Safari, men jag ska ägna julen åt att få den se ut som den ska i de andra webbläsarna (läs: tvinga min bror att fixa det åt mig!). Dessutom har jag, som synes, installerat bloggfunktion. Bloggen ska också snyggas till, få mer spännande titel och layout. Jag har förstås lite lösa idéer, men var det landar återstår att se.
